Let’s be honest, as women, we’re juggling a lot.

Work, managing the house, keeping up with relationships. If you have kids, it’s endless laundry, dishes, meal planning, appointments, and so on.

Then there’s the mental load—making sure everyone’s taken care of, anticipating needs, and worrying.

You’re exhausted, burnt out, and craving a break. For once, you just want someone to take care of you.

Lots of retreats are packed with activities like hiking, zip-lining, tours, motivational talks, and masterclasses.

But this isn’t that kind of retreat.

This one’s all about slowing down, resting, resetting, and finally filling your own cup.

A quiet beach, the ocean, the breeze, and your breath. What could be better?

This retreat is your chance to set down the physical and mental burdens, let yourself be taken care of, and return to your life feeling relaxed and grounded.

“Thank you so much for all the effort you put into making this weekend retreat happen and the guidance you provided to us. Our souls needed this weekend. It takes individuals like you to create peace and harmony in our lives.  The lodging was superb and the meals extraordinary- I look forward to the next retreat!

Our Home for the Weekend

Grandview is a spectacular home that offers views of the beach or saltwater marsh from every single window in the house!

The decks on both sides of the home provide plenty of space for watching the sunrise or sunset while enjoying the wildlife in the saltwater marsh on one side of the house or ocean views on the other. We are in a private gated community, and the beach access is directly across the street.  It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach from the house.

This is our house...

...which overlooks the marsh.

Beautiful sunsets and opportunities to observe wildlife.

Direct beach access is right across the street. The house is in a gated community, which means the beach is private and quiet.

Back porch, where you can sip coffee and enjoy the marsh views.

The family room.

The kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am completely new to yoga.  Will this be too hard for me?

No yoga experience required.  I will offer lots of options and modifications to suit varying levels of ability.

I am pregnant or postpartum.  Can I come?

Absolutely.  I am a certified prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher, and will help you adapt the poses to your unique needs.  If you need to pump, there are plenty of spaces in the home where you can pump in privacy, if that is your preference. No one needs you to pump in privacy if you prefer to remain with the group. The kitchen has plenty of room for milk storage.

Is transportation included?

No. Transportation to and from our location is not included in the price of the retreat. You are responsible for organizing your transportation and any incurred costs.

However, I am happy to help arrange carpooling to the retreat if you are coming from the Research Triangle. I am also happy to pair you up with other guests if you want to carpool or ride share from the airport.

Holden Beach is about a 3.5 hour drive from the Research Triangle.

The nearest airport is Wilmington (ILM), which is about 33.4 miles from Holden Beach.

What if I want a shared room but don't have a roomate?

When you request a room, let me know you don't have a preferred roommate. I will pair you with someone.

If we are unable to match you with another participant, you will need to upgrade to a private room at 50% reduction of the cost increase for the price of a single occupancy room, thus securing a single occupancy room at a price point halfway between a single and a shared room.

I don't plan to participate in the yoga classes.  Can I get a discount?

No, the price of the retreat is fixed, regardless of your level of participation.

Do I need to bring my own meals and snacks?

No.

You will be provided with dinner on your arrival night, brunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday morning. Snacks, water, tea and coffee will be provided for you throughout your stay. There will be options for a variety of diets. Please indicate in your registration if you have specific dietary restrictions so we have options for you.

That being said, you may bring your own food if you so desire. We want everyone to feel at home.

You can view a sample menu below. Menus are tentative and subject to change.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring your own yoga mat, clothes for yoga/movement, and layers for outdoor activities. Our home will provide us with bath towels, bed linens, and beach towels, as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap and hair.

Some other items I suggest:
-sunscreen

-sunglasses

-a hat

-flip flops or sandals for the beach

-bug spray

What's NOT included?

Airfare or any other costs or fees associated with travel, including travel insurance. I recommend you book your own travel insurance.
Lunch will not be served on Saturday, April 26th. There will be plenty of snacks and leftovers, but you are welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase your own lunch at the local restaurants during free time
.

Alcoholic beverages are not included. This is an alcohol and drug-free retreat, so please do not bring your own.
